I graduated in Illustration from Camberwell College of Arts many years ago but didn't find printmaking until about 10 years later.
I work mainly in linocut techniques and sometimes screen print. I enjoy combining materials and techniques to produce my work and I am focusing on bringing my illustration style and printmaking ideas together.
I develop characters with personality which I hope people can relate to. I draw inspiration from folklore, natural world, illustrations and cartoons from my childhood. I enjoy creating images that have an unwritten narrative which I hope to develop further in the future.
I work at my home studio with a pot of tea, radio or podcast on and accompanied by my puppy boy.
I am a qualified teacher and work part-time teaching in a Primary School. I have also lead my own workshops for children and adults in the wider community.
My commissioned work has included posters, beer mats for various events and establishments with one of the most recent being the commissioned artist for Ryde Carnival 2023.
