Nobody is to old to enjoy a picture book or be able to relate to an animal character! Being a lover of illustration, I am developing my linocut illustrations in hopes to produce a variety of images for future story telling projects. I enjoy developing characters with personality and images that have an unwritten narrative. I draw inspiration from folklore, history, the natural world, illustrations and cartoons from my childhood.
I enjoy the problem solving involved with working in black and white and also with a limited palette. I some times screen print, collage and use Procreate to create my work.
I am a qualified teacher and work part-time teaching in a Primary School. I have also led my own workshops for children and adults in the wider community.
My commissioned work has included posters and beer mats for various events and establishments. My current project HIBERNAL is on display in Quay Arts, IOW. The installation includes 24 original lino cuts each illustrating a wintry word of the past.

I graduated in Illustration from Camberwell College of Arts many years ago, didn't find printmaking until about 10 years later and only now finding my feet.
If I am not working on projects I am probably developing my own skills by learning from other artists in workshops or on-line courses. I love learning!
